In Situ

One visitor moved out of the apartment on Monday so we decided to fix the bed in one of the bedrooms before the next set of visitors arrived (which they did, last night). It seems the beds in our house are always evolving from one configuration to another. We got rid of our old box spring and decided to make a bed board instead.

Does anyone recognize the board? It has been in storage since we tore out the old kitchen floor in 1996.

Gary measured twice and cut once.

and it fit.

But after we got the bed made, it became obvious that someone would hurt themselves on the corner, so I asked Gary to miter the corner. He replied, “I can do that in situ.” Ya never know when one of those Latin phrases is going to come in handy.
