Andrew Checking In

It was good to get an email from Andrew today. He’s still in Ethiopia but was able to celebrate the New Year with friends. They went into the Simien Mountains and he took these cool photos.  The first one is Gelada Monkeys, but I don’t know what kind of bird is the second one:

Rachel had to go back to work today, but Gary and I had one last day of vacation.  Today was my bird-watching day for the BackYard bird count, and a good morning it was–I saw 24 different species, including one lifer!

And the latest news from baby Micah–his first tooth has just started to come in.
