Due to our friend’s lung transplant last October, our annual visit to their home in Granbury for Christmas had to be postponed. It was more of a group birthday party this time. We had homemade lasagna and fruit pizza for dinner, Belgian waffles for breakfast, and lunch a show-off Japanese place. Gary and I stopped off a Lake Ben Brook for a couple hours of birding on our way down. Highlights were two shorebird species and we found a Great Blue Heron rookery, neither of which are pictured below!
